The Traveling School is accredited through the Council for Standards on International Educational Travel (CSIET). CSIET is a private, not-for-profit organization, which establishes standards and monitors international youth education and exchange programs. CSIET’s mission and activities are endorsed by the American Association of School Administrators (AASA), the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and the National Federation of State High School Associations, to name a few.
The Traveling School is in compliance with all CSIET standards, and has been granted Full Listing status in the Advisory List of International Educational Travel and Exchange Programs for ten years running. The Advisory List is annually distributed to all the high schools in the United States and to hundreds of parents and youth seeking interesting and reliable travel and exchange learning opportunities.
The Traveling School is part of the the Semester Schools Network. The Semester Schools Network is a group of schools offering semester-long educational opportunities for high school students. Students leave their sending schools for one semester to attend a semester school; they return with one full semester of academic credit, as well as a wealth of knowledge and new experiences to bring back to their sending school.
The Traveling School is a member of the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools (NCGS). The NCGS is a leading advocate for girls’ education with a distinct commitment to the transformative power of all-girls schools. The Coalition acts at the forefront of educational thought, collaborating and connecting globally with individuals, schools, and organizations dedicated to empowering girls to be influential contributors to the world.
