Travel Journalism

Do you want to be a National Geographic writer or photographer? This class is for you! This is an intensive journalism course focusing on writing and publishing articles. The primary objective of this course is the writing of news, opinion, editorial, travel, sports and feature articles. Students will understand news sources, how to gather information, understand in-depth reporting, and meet deadlines. In addition, students learn the basics of photojournalism and digital photography.
Students will also gain an overview of the field of journalism, including the legal and ethical responsibilities of the press. Additionally, students will read full-length investigative reports and other non-fiction works to better understand and discover the basic principles of journalism.
