Schedule

Regularly Scheduled Courses

The Traveling School maintains U.S. Education Standards for classroom hours.  Each 15-week course maintains rigorous school day requirements. Because of the nature of this program, class schedules are flexible.  Consistent class days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, starting at 8 a.m.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are Academic Activity days.  The school may spend one of these days touring an art museum, taking an in-depth language seminar from a native language speaker, or touring a local fishery with an expert in zoological and aquatic sciences. At times, we add an additional traditional school day during the week if students need more time for classes and studying.

Counseling and Goals

The school takes a practical and individualized approach to counseling. During the academic semester, students work with instructors to set goals, maintain objectives and encourage inspiration. In addition, rock climbing, long-distance trekking, wilderness living, and other active educational models are used to provide students with an opportunity to understand and incorporate life skills for increased self-esteem and a healthy emotional growth.

Classrooms around the World

Classes are regularly carried on in various facilities overseas.  While we are traveling, we maintain a regular class schedule and conduct courses in various overseas classrooms, conference centers, community centers, mountain meadows, and places where we can set up chairs, desks, supplies and a white board.

The coursework and curriculum remain consistent while the actual facilities adjust on a daily or weekly basis.
